Term 1 begins for students on Wed 28 Jan 2026.
Students in Yrs 1–6 will attend during normal school hours - 9.00am to 3.30pm.
Prep students will attend a two-hour transition session on this day. Families have been notified of their child’s allocated session either 9.15am–11.15am or 11.45am–1.45pm.

At Mentone Primary School, we are proud to have Kouta, our very own qualified therapy dog, as a valued member of our community. Kouta has undergone specialised training to ensure he can provide emotional and social support to students and staff alike.
Please be aware that the Department of Education (DE) does not provide personal accident insurance or ambulance cover for students.
Mentone Primary School is registered with all donation partners for Victoria’s container deposit scheme. You can exchange eligible drink containers for 10 cents. Together we can make a positive difference to our community and our environment.
School Breakfast Clubs provide a warm and welcoming space for students when they arrive at school. Every Tuesday and Wednesday morning for students from 8.45 am to 9.00 am. For volunteers it is a very efficient process with set up beginning at 8.35 am and everything packed up by 9.15 am.
To ensure the safety and appropriate supervision of all students, we ask families to be mindful of school arrival and collection times. Supervision at school begins at 8.45am each morning and continues until 3.45pm at the end of the day.
