Technology/Computers:

At Mentone Primary School we have a Technology Room that houses networked computers. All children are timetabled in this room and experience activities with Computers, Lego and Construction materials. The technology program incorporates all three areas of the Technology CSF - Design, Systems and Information.

Skills in computer use are developed gradually throughout the grades and children experience a variety of software that incorporates educational material to consolidate skills and knowledge developed in the classroom.

Classes have access to computers in their rooms and these are used to reinforce skills and develop confidence and competence.  The entire school is networked to the D.E.&T. Schools’  Internet service and every class utilises this in their program.
