Enrolment Information
Victorian Primary Schools Entry Requirements:
For children commencing Prep:
All children entering primary school must be five years of age by the 30th April of the starting year. Children who turn 5 after that date begin school the following year.
A completed Student Information Enrolment form
A copy of the Australian National Register Certificate of Immunisation
A copy of Birth Certificate / Extract of Birth.
For students not born in Australia a passport is sufficient proof of birth date and proof of residential status or visa number is also required.
For children transferring from another school – private system, interstate or overseas:
As above (please also complete the Endeavour Program evaluation form).
For children transferring from another Victorian state school:
Mentone Primary School will contact your previous school for a
transfer note and other documentation.
Please also complete the Endeavour Program evaluation form.
School Start Bonus:
Parents who enrol their children in Prep
will receive the government School Start Bonus. Cheques
will be distributed to parents at the Information Evening in
November, however they cannot be cashed until January.
